Meet Chef Milo:
Chef Milo has always had a love for sweets and cooking since he was young. Always curious and asking many questions as he would watch his mom and grandparents in the kitchen. During the summer he would often do facebook videos with his mom experimenting with new recipes. It was something that he always enjoyed. A small guy, with a big personality, he loved the idea of cooking while having a virtual audience. His mom would always read him all of the comments and he would get excited about the thought of having so many “fans”. One day, Milo’s Abuela decided to share a secret family recipe with Milo to try out on his own. You see, his Abuela’s mom (his great-grandmother) who is no longer with us had a secret recipe that everyone in the community and family loved. She had learned to perfect the art of cheesecakes. Growing up in New York City and as a mother of seven, cheesecakes were something that were definitely not an everyday thing. Lucy’s cheesecakes were made special throughout the year for special occasions and everyone just loved them and couldn’t get enough. The creamy smooth taste paired with a delectable graham cracker crust became a staple for her. Lucy passed it onto Abuela, and now Abuela has passed this family recipe onto Chef Milo. When Milo tasted the infamous cheesecake, he immediately fell in love and wanted to learn how to make some for himself. Being the aspiring businessman that he is (Milo has always aspired to be a business owner like his daddy), Milo said, “We can sell these delicious cakes so I can save money for when I grow up.” And so that is how it started. Something small that came from a hobby, a sweet tooth, and the sharing of a family tradition, turned into something so much more.
Thank you for supporting Chef Milo and his dreams.
